I think we cleared up my name and the purpose of this website, so now is time to shed light on who I really am… Not that a few lines on a screen are the best way to go about it, but still, it can give you a pretty good idea on who you’re dealing with here.
If I had to describe my personality with three words, the first to spring into my mind is definitely ambition. Never have I denied that I want to work my way up to the top of the career path I have chosen, and I can’t hide, nor do I mind, that it comes at a certain cost and that sacrifices have to be made. Such careerist behaviours can draw difficulties to one’s private life but I guess it is a choice I have made to focus on my professional progress. Another pick would be perfectionism, oh, and believe me, this is very often a flaw that one has to deal with. I can’t see the point in performing a task if I can’t look back and honestly say I couldn’t have done it better. The downside is that if I am left unsatisfied I can work days and night until I get a result I am happy with. The third and last indisputable characteristic I can think of is my curiosity. Everybody says they’re curious, but can they really profoundly be interested in any topic like I am most of the time? In that, I think I differ from most people. You will rarely find me reading a novel, but I will devour books about sciences, travels, geopolitics, cinema, religions and so on…
For the record, I was born in 1987 in the southern city of Grenoble, France, even though I don’t think I resemble the French crowd who, let’s face it, is quite often regarded as a rude, narrow-minded nation and, believe me, I won’t deny it! Instead of that I have tried my best to stay as open as I can to pretty much anything, anyone, anytime. I was raised by my loving parents and, with five sisters ahead of me, it felt quite comfortable. It took me 20 long years to actually leave the country for the first time. Scotland first, then India and now England, I am constantly seeking for new and challenging opportunities. It has always been important to me and that is mostly why my background is so atypical. Thanks to the people I’ve met, the countries I’ve been to, let’s even say then adventures I’ve been through, I have lived life-changing experiences that completely shifted my way of seeing things and that helped me gain maturity on many grounds.
Now I think what most people will tell you if you’d be to ask them about what my interests are would be films and TV. Well, they would be spot on! To me there is nothing quite like letting you be transported by images and music. The emotions coming out of the association of both are so enjoyable, so admirable that I spend a considerable amount of time experiencing them especially through TV shows. I find their format very interesting as it gives endless possibilities to thoroughly develop plots or characters. Some of the shows I enjoy are Dexter, Weeds, Six Feet Under, Fringe, CSI, How I Met Your Mother, Psych, etc. Those are extremely entertaining and I have to admit that the list goes on way beyond that... beyond acceptable! The big screen has its advantages as well and some movies like Garden State, the Bourne Trilogy, Lost in Translation or Sleuth (the original from 1972), to name but a few, have influenced me quite a bit. There again, the list can go on for ages. All in all, this passion for the entertainment industry is where my ambitions take root. I am currently studying film and TV production with one goal set in my mind: to be one day producing a show or a movie some people will enjoy like I enjoyed so many…
A good thing you could do is have a look at my Facebook page
. The info bit of it includes a list of what I like. It goes from music albums to movies, from TV programs to video games and also includes a list of activities and interests... I actually think it’s a good start to grasp a few things about who I am.
